Studio & Gallery
The studio, which has been described as contemporary organic, is a simple idea that pushes traditional ideas with a purposed redirection. It is intended to be functional, efficient, and beautiful. The studio reflects the valley, maximizing efficiencies naturally. Western and southern exposures are utilized along with a concrete slab and SIPS panels to create a passive solar structure. The siding is fashioned from locally harvested and sawn pine trees devastated in the pine beetle kill and heated with dying and deadfall wood that has been gathered on the property. We worked with architect Jim Bassett to design a building that glows with natural light, keeping our rhythm in tune with the changing day.
